Intro to Three-Point Stance
Hello, fellow college football fans. Welcome to Three-Point Stance.
The Three-Point Stance is a newsletter filled with commentary, analysis and laughs inspired by college football. An idea hatched after years of 12-hour Saturdays glued to the couch, we’re taking our insights out of our group chat and onto the page. We’ll provide you with our thoughts on gambling, weekly slates including game previews & recaps, big picture ideas and things that make us laugh.
We’re a group of buddies from high school who played, watch a ton of and constantly talk about college football. We have roots ranging from Texas to the Midwest, and each of us offer a unique flavor to any CFB conversation.
We wanted to introduce ourselves and give a sneak peek as to what’s on the horizon for the newsletter.
Cameron: Cameron is a former college football player that will bring a defensive focus to the Three-Point Stance. He is a self-described mid-2000s Big 12 football aficionado and notable Nebraska football hater. If you like Cameron’s work check out his other K-State Football Substack here.
Sam: Sam is a former D3 football player (Roll Storm) turned business consultant. An avid sports fan where football always comes first, especially the love for college football. Heralding from Omaha, Sam will be bringing insights from a “realistic” Husker fan. One who gets jazzed up by the sounds of The Alans Parsons Project inside Memorial Stadium and the sight of Valentino’s pizza slices. But still can see behind the Red Sea and tries to provide a critical view on the Cornhuskers. Expect to see the love for O-Lineman to come out in Sam’s content as well.
Tyler: For Tyler, college football Just Means More. Raised in SEC country, he grew up watching bad Egg Bowls and spending Saturdays tuning into Jefferson Pilot Sports. A former offensive lineman turned writer, he’ll bring humor and a critical eye to the biggest, dumbest sport in the world.
Welcome to the Three-Point Stance family. And as always, play with your hand in the dirt and stay low.
